At Expelyouth, we strive to ensure your satisfaction with our 3D modeling courses. This Return and Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which cancellations and refunds are available for course enrollments.

This policy complies with Finnish consumer protection laws and EU Consumer Rights Directive.

2. Cooling-Off Period (14-Day Right of Withdrawal)

Under EU consumer protection regulations, you have the right to cancel your course enrollment within 14 days of registration without providing a reason.

2.1 Conditions

  • The 14-day period begins from the date of enrollment/payment confirmation
  • This right applies if the course has not yet commenced
  • If you explicitly request course access before the 14-day period ends, you may forfeit this right

2.2 How to Exercise Your Right

To cancel during the cooling-off period:

  • Include your full name, course name, and enrollment date
  • You will receive confirmation within 48 hours

2.3 Refund Processing

If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, we will refund 100% of the course fee within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, using the same payment method you used for enrollment.

3. Cancellation Before Course Start

3.1 More Than 14 Days Before Course Start

  • Refund Amount: 90% of course fee (10% administrative fee retained)
  • Processing Time: 10-14 business days

3.2 7-14 Days Before Course Start

  • Refund Amount: 75% of course fee (25% administrative fee retained)
  • Processing Time: 10-14 business days

3.3 Less Than 7 Days Before Course Start

  • Refund Amount: 50% of course fee (50% administrative fee retained)
  • Processing Time: 10-14 business days
  • Note: At this stage, materials have been prepared and instructor time allocated

4. Cancellation After Course Commencement

4.1 Within First Week (Up to 2nd Session)

  • Refund Amount: 40% of course fee
  • Conditions: Must notify us in writing before the 3rd session
  • Note: You retain access to materials from completed sessions

4.2 After First Week

No refunds are available after the first week of the course (after the 2nd session). This is because:

  • Significant course content and resources have been delivered
  • Instructor time and class dynamics have been established
  • Access to course materials and recordings has been provided

5. Course Transfer Policy

5.1 Transferring to a Future Session

As an alternative to cancellation, you may transfer your enrollment to a future session of the same course:

  • Before Course Start: Free transfer (no fees)
  • During First Week: €50 administrative fee
  • After First Week: Not available (cancellation policy applies)
  • Limit: One transfer per enrollment
  • Validity: Transfer must be used within 12 months

5.2 Transferring to a Different Course

  • Available only before course commencement
  • €75 administrative fee applies
  • Price difference must be paid if new course is more expensive
  • Partial refund if new course is less expensive (minus administrative fee)

6. Special Circumstances and Exceptions

6.1 Medical or Emergency Situations

We understand that unexpected situations arise. In cases of serious illness, family emergency, or other extenuating circumstances:

  • Contact us as soon as possible with supporting documentation
  • We may offer a full transfer to a future session (no time limit)
  • Each case is reviewed individually with compassion and flexibility
  • Medical documentation from a licensed healthcare provider may be required

6.2 Course Cancellation by Expelyouth

If we cancel a course due to:

  • Insufficient enrollment
  • Instructor unavailability
  • Facility issues
  • Force majeure events

You will receive:

  • Option 1: 100% refund of course fee within 14 days
  • Option 2: Priority enrollment in the next available session with a 10% discount
  • Option 3: Transfer to an alternative course of equal or lesser value

6.3 Technical Issues or Course Quality

If you experience significant technical problems or concerns about course quality:

  • Report issues immediately to [email protected]
  • We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly
  • If issues cannot be resolved, we may offer a partial or full refund
  • Documentation of technical issues may be required

7. Non-Refundable Items and Services

The following are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Registration fees (if applicable)
  • Certification examination fees
  • Physical materials or software licenses already provided
  • One-on-one tutoring sessions already completed
  • Access to online course materials after download
  • Third-party services or subscriptions included with course

8. Refund Processing

8.1 Method of Refund

  • Refunds are processed using the original payment method
  • Credit/debit card refunds: 5-10 business days after processing
  • Bank transfer refunds: 7-14 business days after processing
  • PayPal refunds: 3-5 business days after processing

8.2 Refund Confirmation

You will receive:

  • Email confirmation when refund is processed
  • Reference number for tracking
  • Expected date of refund arrival

8.3 Currency and Exchange Rates

Refunds are issued in the original currency (EUR). If you paid in a different currency, exchange rate fluctuations are not compensated.

9. Withdrawal Due to Misconduct

Expelyouth reserves the right to terminate enrollment without refund if a student:

  • Violates our Code of Conduct
  • Engages in harassment or disruptive behavior
  • Provides false information during enrollment
  • Violates intellectual property rights
  • Repeatedly misses classes without notification

Such cases are handled individually, and you will be notified in writing with the reason for termination.

10. Group Enrollments and Corporate Bookings

10.1 Group Discounts

Special terms apply to group enrollments (3+ students):

  • Custom cancellation terms may be negotiated
  • Partial cancellations (individual students) may affect group pricing
  • Contact us for specific group policies

10.2 Corporate Training Contracts

Corporate bookings have separate cancellation and refund terms outlined in the training agreement.

11. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

13. Payment Plan Cancellations

If you're enrolled in a payment plan:

  • Cancellation policies apply to the total course fee, not installments paid
  • You remain responsible for installments due up to the cancellation date
  • Refund amounts (if eligible) are calculated on total course fee, minus amounts owed
  • Outstanding payments must be settled before refund processing

14. Course Rescheduling by Expelyouth

If we need to reschedule a course:

  • You will be notified as soon as possible (minimum 7 days when possible)
  • Minor changes (1-2 sessions): No refund, but flexibility offered
  • Major changes (start date, significant schedule changes): Full refund or transfer option
  • You are not obligated to accept the new schedule

15. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Return and Refund Policy at any time. Changes will:

  • Be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date
  • Not affect enrollments made prior to the change
  • Be communicated to enrolled students if changes are substantial

The policy in effect at the time of your enrollment governs your registration.
